Topics:  World Beside is a game based learning environment built on three
pillars: On-line gaming and communication (MMO=Massive Multiplayer Online), a model (or an
approximation) to the real world,and parts of curriculum in high school (in Norway). Within this environment different games for learning purposes are being developed. With emphasis on technical issues and challenges when developing computer games,this talk will give an overview of the major components required to construct advanced computer games.
